Fat Dissolving

Do you struggle with stubborn fat? Fat-dissolving agents are an innovative formula designed for aesthetic treatments that fight fatty tissue and can cause permanent dissolution of fat accumulation (lipolysis). Alongside a balanced diet and regular exercise, this non-surgical procedure can help minimise and dissolve fat in specific areas such as the underarm (“bingo wings”), hip (“love handle”) or adnominal area. The injections help to break down fat cells into fatty acids that the body will then naturally excrete.

Fat Dissolving Injections

“Injections”: not everyone’s favourite word. However, this process is an effective way to tackle the cells directly with minimum invasion and recovery time and is currently one of the most effective and safest alternative to surgical liposuction. Don’t worry, you will be talked through the procedure beforehand as well as informed of any potential side effects and aftercare. Injection lipolysis (or intralipotherapy), is relatively painless, and clients are offered a topical numbing agent to further reduce any discomfort if preferred. Following treatment, the body removes the fatty acids on its own through the lymphatic system – a network of tissues and organs that rid the body of unwanted toxins and waste.

Areas It Can Be Used On

Results

Clients are advised to have 3- 5 treatments every 3 weeks. Results will vary between clients depending on pre-treatment assessments, diet, lifestyle and metabolism. The effects of treatment appear gradually over the first few weeks. Their durability depends mainly on the lifestyle and diet used.

To try and obtain the most permanent and optimal results, 3-5 treatments is recommended to be performed at intervals of 21 days. Results take 2-4 months to be fully realised as the fat cells that have been destroyed slowly flush out of the system by the liver and kidneys into urine. This method means that there is no change to the blood cholesterol.

Aftercare Advice

Post injections, the area may swell, become red, and bruise. This is to be expected and is nothing to worry about. These effects should go away on their own within a few days. If you notice severe reactions, then please seek medical attention. Tenderness can be expected for a few weeks post treatment. A healthy balanced diet and exercise is also advised.

All clients receive detailed procedure and aftercare information to follow post treatment.
