That’s me! Vanessa. A qualified Medical Health Professional with experience in dentistry and oral health, vaccination, neck and head anatomy and non-surgical cosmetics. Over the course of a diverse career I have provided numerous patients and clients with a range of professional treatments and services. I have years of prior experience within the medical field. Graduating from the University of Manchester Dental School in 2009, I gained my BSc Degree in Dentistry and began my medical career as a Registered Dental Therapist (GDC 112960). I also have a degree in head and neck anatomy, and am a qualified non-surgical aesthetics professional.
I served as a Senior Registered Dental Nurse (RDN) for 14 years, working with the NHS, Private Dental Care, the elderly, and children with specific care and mental health needs. From 2016 to 2020, I mentored students of all ages studying for their Diploma in Dental Hygiene & Dental Therapy.
Other experience includes time as a Dental Therapist in Her Majesty’s Youth Offenders (H.M.Y.O.I.) Prison Service (Hindley, Wigan) in the Greater Manchester area and at a Dental Practice in Bradford, Yorkshire. I was involved in a ‘Pilot Study’ Red, Amber, Green, (RAG) System Care Pathways of which I was the Oral Health Lead.
Since February 2021, I chose to work alongside other Health Care Professionals as an NHS vaccinator. I wanted to use my expertise in medicine to help with the COVID-19 pandemic by giving residents in Wigan and Leigh Boroughs the vaccine.
In April 2021, I was encouraged to start a career in non-surgical cosmetics, aesthetics, skin rejuvenation and wellbeing. Motivation came from work colleagues, friends, and my family, who had heard how passionate I had become regarding client welfare within the aesthetics sphere and felt I could make a difference.
My career and experience has enabled me to better support clients, remaining calm, courteous, sympathetic and patient, particularly with anxious clients or patients. I’m passionate about delivering a high standard of treatment, using the best quality products, and providing effective aftercare at all times.
